Prof. Katarzyna Kolasa

Katarzyna Kolasa is Professor of Health Economics and Head of Health Economics and Healthcare Management Division at Kozminski University, Warsaw, Chair elect of ISPOR Special Interest Group Digital Health. Prof. Kolasa’s extensive knowledge in the field of health economics was acquired at the University of York, University of Lund, and University of Bergen as well as during her International Doctoral Courses in the Health Economics and Policy organized by the Swiss School of Public Health. Her PhD was titled “The principle of equity and social justice with respect to financing of health service in Poland and Sweden”, while her habilitation book „Optimal allocation of healthcare resources” was published in 2017.
Mrs. Kolasa practical skills in the field of health economics were developed during six years employment contract at the Kalmar County Council in Sweden. After that she worked in global and regional Health Economics & Outcomes Research functions at pharmaceutical & medtech companies: at AstraZeneca and BiogenIdec she held Global and European positions, at Bristol Myers Squibb and Lundbeck she lead Market Access teams in Central Eastern European and Nordic Region. She gained experience with the pricing and reimbursement challenges in the field of medical devices as Senior Sales Director responsible for HEOR at GE Healthcare and supported Straub Medical as Global Market Access Lead.
At the Kozminski University, Mrs. Kolasa is the leader of the International Master Program Health Economics & Big Data financed by the EU research grant of the National Center for Research and Development which was listed as the best project in the POWER 2018 call.
In October 2020 prof. Kolaza was nominated to ISPOR’s Health Sciences Policy Council.
